3D fonts

If you need lettering in 3D for your planning, e.g. for displaying acrylic letters or illuminated lettering, you can create these yourself in just a few steps.

From text to 3D font

1. Insert text in the desired font
2. Select the text and choose the 2D symbol function from the Edit menu
3. Dissolve the resulting group (Ctrl + u) or menu Edit -> Dissolve
4. Move the text slightly so that an outline of the text becomes visible
5. Select the text contour and ungroup (Ctrl + u)
6. Select all individual text objects and extrude them, select menu Edit ->Extrude

The resulting 3D objects are no longer text and can no longer be edited as such. To change the lettering, you must write a new text and repeat all the steps.
