Creating a section

Here are a few tips that you should bear in mind when creating a shelf or section.

Create new section:

  • Shelf sections are always created at the zero point of the drawing.
  • When saving a section, it should also be located at the zero point of the drawing, as it will be read in at exactly this point during import.
  • Make sure that the shelf section is actually on the "floor" so that it does not float in the drawing.

When the section is finished, select all parts and create a new section via Shopfitting -> Create group and assign a name.

Editing a cut:

  • Select the cut and make the changes directly on the cut.
  • It is best to work within the group without breaking it up.
  • Do not form too many subgroups, as a summarizing group is formed around the cut at the end.
  • If a group does have to be dissolved, make sure that the group must not be dissolved for individual parts, otherwise the article information will be lost.
  • Shelf sections are always created at the zero point of the drawing, so please move the section to the zero point of the drawing before exploding the group.

If you create a shelf entirely from individual parts (without a configurator), it is important to select all the individual parts at the end and then create a group via Shopfitting -> Create group so that the shelf section is given a name and can be evaluated as such via the parts list.
